Definitely a massive surprise at the lack of deathcore/metalcore elements in this release (in which Abigail Williams was infamous for). This touches the realms of straight up black metal with a comfortable amount of symphonic aspects, and manages to showcase their talent in the technicality department; which straight up black metal is more known for its simplicity rather than complexity. There's still a slight touch of Dimmu worship in their sound on this album, but the amount of Emperor in here is enough to please most fans of black metal /m/
