Ad Omega - Fathan Aiseras Seus 2025

“We will rise again to re-establish the glory of the twelve cities…” Within the depths of Agartha lies the secrets of the Ancient Etruscans - sacred knowledge bound to secrecy until the age of Kali’s demise. As thunder sounds, and as Tinia raises his gauntlet; drawing forth from the blackened Azure his supreme energy, and as the skies crackle with the lightning of a thousand storms - below, where mortals toil, Vanth casts her deathly spells beneath the shadow of Dragon’s wing - dreaded incantations to bring forth death and decay. And if you venture into the mythical Etruscan forests; into their shadowy thickets well beyond their thriving groves, you’ll discover a place of solitude where meditation can transpire and gnosis can be achieved, all the while as the Gods conduct their planetary symphony.

What you’ll discover upon meditation’s epiphany is a new reality - the death of anti-spiritualism and the birth of a new age. You’ll also discover that the soundtrack that befalls this bravely trodden pathway between the realm of the worldly and that of the astral is one of mystifying, almost terrifying proportions. On June 16, Italy’s Ad Omega released “Fathan Aiseras Seus” via Zazen Sounds.

Black Metal is but a label; a shallow categorization that barely scratches the surface of the music at its full potential. What began as a vessel for Devil Worship and hooliganism all those years ago has now evolved into a conduit through the realm of spiritual transcendence. “Fathan Aiseras Seus” - a recording of mythical and of great spiritual connotations - most certainly not your typical Black Metal album. With energy like a maddening tempest and with passages that stir up a stark sense of horror does it make its impact. Its passages are like formless and grotesque pieces to a puzzle that somehow fit when put together; resulting in a towering compositional structure; looming over us; commanding us to turn our will over to it as would a Demigod his trembling servants. Each track melding into the next - a mad synergism of keyboard and violin-accented mayhem.

To search for fundamental parts that foster melody and harmony would feel like digging through a collapsing hole in the sand; frantically dredging away as it cascades around your hands. A hopeless endeavor. This is Black Metal for the decades-long enthusiast, the Sage and the exactor. The one whose search for Black Metal is the same as his search for enlightenment. More than music! A spiritual endeavor, but also a portal through history into a time long ago when nature and the Cosmos belonged to Gods. An enigmatic work of tradition and of heritage is “Fathan Aiseras Seus”. Sonically, a dangerous excursion into a chamber where the power of music just barely orbits magick’s volatile core of energy. One thousandth of a centimeter to bridge the distance between them both. You can FEEL it… It’s as if catastrophe is but a second away.

There’s no other Black Metal band’s sound that I could think of that compares to the music I just experienced here. No shallow comparisons to Dissection or Mayhem could be made. No Ihsahn-like guitar solos or Hellhammer-like percussive astonishments to critique, only a vacuous, bewildering and perpetual vortex of Black Metal. Take to your knees now and tune in… Dial your mind into the energy of Ad Omega and “Fathan Aiseras Seus”. Trace the current of your spirit back to ancient days and revel in the power of the Gods! Harness the energy of this recording and ride it as you would the Great Serpent through the galaxy of your consciousness. A transcendent journey, a magisterial artistic accomplishment… An orgiastic feast of a Black Metal album. Hail!

9.5/10
