a good drudkh release, but not their best

Despite its poor reception I can't help but think that if this album had been included as a second disc accompanying "Blood in our Wells" (which came out the same year and is notable for its introduction of folk instruments/passages to the Drudkh canon) it would likely receive the recognition it deserves and "Blood..." would be complete as the magmunm opus it is, and the culmination of their first three albums. "Songs of Grief..." is Drudkh's "Kveldssanger".
