6th June
1992: The Fantoft Stave Church in Bergen, Norway, was set on fire and destroyed, marking the first of several church arsons to spread across Scandinavia in the early 90s. (Pictured)
2010: Von reformed with a new line-up for a one-off show at the Armageddon Fest in London, England, with Watain and The Devil's Blood as opening bands, marking the first time Von had played a live show in 20 years.
2012: English guitarist Huw Lloyd Langton, known in Black Metal for his session work with The Meads of Asphodel, died from cancer, aged 61.
