German Black Metal veterans Nocte Obducta, who recently re-formed in 2011 and released the album "Verderbnis - Der Schnitter Kratzt An Jeder Tür" after splitting up in 2006, are set to release what will be their ninth full length studio recording on the 29th of June.

The title of Nocte Obducta's new album is "Umbriel (Das Schweigen Zwischen Den Sternen)", which translates into English as "Umbriel - The Silence Between the Stars", although not much is known yet about the track listing or exact line-up.

Nocte Obducta were originally formed in Mainz, Germany, in 1993 under the name Desihra, and changed their name in 1995. They released a total of seven full length albums before deciding to put the band on hold in 2006, although their final album before splitting up, "Sequenzen Einer Wanderung", was not released until December 2008 due to disagreements between the record label and the producer.

If you have never had the pleasure of listening to Nocte Obducta's light and modern approach to Black Metal, spanning a variety of genres, we highly recommend you do so beginning with some of their mid-career works, for example their 2001 album "Schwarzmetall - Ein Primitives Zwischenspiel", or their 2002 album Galgendämmerung - Von Nebel, Blut und Totgeburten".

Nocte Obducta - Umbriel (Das Schweigen Zwischen Den Sternen) will be available from Amazon.com from the 29th of June.
