"Vanitas", the latest full length by British Black Metal / Grindcore veterans Anaal Nathrakh, has finally been released today in Europe through Candlelight Records.
British Black Metal / Grindcore band Anaal Nathrakh have finally released today their much-anticipated seventh full length album, titled "Vanitas". The album was released in Europe through British label Candlelight Records, with a North American release date set for 6th of November.
The track list for "Vanitas" is as follows:
- The Blood-Dimmed Tide
- Forging Towards the Sunset
- To Spite the Face
- Todos Somos Humanos
- In Coelo Quies, Tout Finis Ici Bas
- You Can't Save Me, So Stop Fucking Trying
- Make Glorious the Embrace of Saturn
- Feeding the Beast
- Of Fire, and Fucking Pigs
- A Metaphor for the Dead
In the weeks leading up to the album's release, the band made two songs available on their official YouTube channel:
Anaal Nathrakh was formed in Birmingham in 1998 by Mick Kenney and Dave Hunt, taking their name from Merlin's Charm of Making in the 1981 film Excalibur. Mick Kenney is in charge of all instruments, while Dave Hunt, who is also known for being the singer of British Death Metal band Benediction, handles vocal duties.
Although originally starting out as a studio-based project, after a successful live BBC Radio session with John Peel the band eventually decided to perform live at a few specific festivals, and have since counted with the collaboration of high caliber musicians such as Nicholas Barker, Shane Embury and Danny Herrera for these occasional live shows.
Anaal Nathrakh - Vanitas is now available on Amazon.com in both CD and vinyl formats.
