New Zealander Black Metal band Vassafor have just released a compilation album titled "Elegy of the Archeonaut", featuring some of the band's best songs as well as previously unreleased material.

New Zealander Black Metal band Vassafor will be releasing their first compilation album today, titled "Elegy of the Archeonaut". The compilation will be released through U.S. label Dark Descent Records, and features some of the band's greatest songs as well as previously unreleased tracks.

The complete track list for "Elegy of the Archeonaut" is as follows:

  4. Black Winds Victoryant
  5. Dreadnaught
  6. Dorn Meiner Allmacht (Bethlehem cover)

  8. Vassafor
  9. Archeonaut's Return
  10. Beast of Damnation


Vassafor formed in Auckland, New Zealand in 1994, although they only managed to release one demo before going on a lengthy period of inactivity from 1997 until 2004. Earlier this year the band released their first full length album, titled "Obsidian Codex", featuring over 90 minutes of excellent Black Metal and currently holding our Best New Zealander Black Metal Album award.
