Update

We have revamped the site's search engine this week, addressing various performance issues and also making the results more accurate. The search function now returns results at least 10 times faster than it did before, while the Search by Band / Country / Year / Genre functions are now at least 15 times faster than they were before.

Other notable changes are the "Recommended Album" sidebox, which now works independently and refreshes in real time without having to reload the entire page. The same functionality has been applied to the "Similar Albums" box that can be found at the bottom on any album profile. This new functionality requires JavaScript to be enabled in order to work, however the previous versions of the boxes will still appear for users who do not want to enable JavaScript.

Unfortunately, at the expense of investing our time into these modifications, we have not been able to update the news section for some time, so we would like to thank everyone for their patience. We think it was worth it, however, as the site is now considerably more responsive and generally faster than it has ever been.
