Indian Post-Black Metal project India Raat has just released a brand new EP today, titled "Avenir". The new EP features three tracks, and will be streamed online in its entirety through the BMP YouTube channel later today:

The complete tracklist for the EP is as follows:

  1. Avenir
  2. Oblivion
  3. Halcyon

Raat (Hindi for "night") is a solo project that was formed in New Delhi, India in 2019 by S.R, who's work you may already be familiar with from his other Black Metal project, India Lesath. S.R is quite the prolific musician, having released over the last couple of years two full-length albums and seven EPs under Raat, in addition to the two full-length albums released under Lesath. "Avenir" is the second Raat release this year, following "Sylvan", which was released back in April.

One of S.R's defining characteristics, both with Raat and Lesath, is his use of eye-catching imagery and visuals for cover art. Here's a closer look at the cover for "Avenir", which is taken from John Martin's painting, "Sadak in Search of the Waters of Oblivion" (1812):
