The band's 19th studio album, titled "Eternal Hails......", was released today through Peaceville Records, and the opening track "His Master's Voice" is now streaming online.
Norwegian Black Metal pioneers Darkthrone celebrate today the release of their 19th full-length album, titled "Eternal Hails......". The album was released through longtime collaborators Peaceville Records, and to mark the occasion, the label has uploaded a lyric video for the album's opening track, "His Master's Voice". Check it out below:
The new album features a total of just five tracks, but each one clocks in at over seven minutes in length. The complete tracklist is as follows:
- His Master's Voice
- Hate Cloak
- Wake of the Awakened
- Voyage to a North Pole Adrift
- Lost Arcane City of Uppakra
In case you missed it, the track "Hate Cloak" was also made available for listening earlier this month:
The artwork for the new album is originally taken from a work titled "Pluto & Charon" by British space artist David A. Hardy:
Initially titled just "Pluto" when it was first created in 1972, the painting was adjusted and updated in 1978 after the discovery of Pluto's moon. There's a nice article about David A. Hardy's work and Fenriz' choice for the cover art which you can check out here.
"Eternal Hails......" is now available from the Peaceville store in CD and vinyl formats as well as a limited edition box set at Burning Shed.
Alternatively, you can check out the usual array of digital options here: https://darkthrone.lnk.to/EternalHails
