The band have just released a video for the track "Equinox Vigil", the title track from the band's next album, due for release on June 17th through Gilead Media.
Minnesota-based Black Metal band Inexorum will soon be launching their next full-length album, which is titled "Equinox Vigil" and is expected to be released on the 17th of June via Gilead Media. Leading up to the release, the band has just revealed a video/visualizer of sorts for the album's title track, check it out:
The label commented on what to expect from the album:
Eight new tracks show members Carl Skildum and Matt Kirkwold deep-diving into profound new territories since the bands 2020, critically-acclaimed release Moonlit Navigation (Gilead Media), by highlighting masterful arrangements of anthemic triumph and conviction.
Compelling and bittersweet odes gleam sadness through vignettes of memorable riffs and heart-pounding percussion. Ripping and dynamic melodies take hold while frost-bound vocals demand you to follow the duo into self-reflecting battle. INEXORUM have found their stride and demand you hear their battle cry!
They also touched upon the band's origins and where they trace their inspiration from:
Originally founded as a solo outlet by Carl Skildum (Antiverse, Obsequiae live lineup), INEXORUM is joined by Matthew Kirkwold (RIAA certified producer, also of Antiverse and Obsequiae live lineup).
Inspired by 80's NWOBHM and the foundational intersection between Black and Death Metal from bands like Mork Gryning, Dawn, and Sacramentum, Skildum and Kirkwood have created a timeless sound all their own, laced in themes of navigating the human experience, religious hypocrisy, self-healing, science, death, and the natural environment surrounding the duo in the Minnesota landscape.
"Equinox Vigil" will mark the band's third album, with tracklist as follows:
- Creation Myth
- Equinox Vigil
- Until There's Nothing Left
- Dark Sky Sanctuary
- Secret Language
- Memoriae Sacrum
- On the Last Day
- Such Impossible Sights
The cover art was created by American artist Brooks Wilson, who is also known as the singer and bassist for Philadelphia Doom Metal band Crypt Sermon, and who also designed the cover art for Inexorum's previous album, "Moonlit Navigation":
"Equinox Vigil" is now available for pre-order from Gilead Media in cassette format, with other formats expected to follow:
