São Paulo Black Metal Thrashers Brazil Power From Hell are expected to unleash their next full-length album, titled "Shadows Devouring Light", on the 30th of September via Debemur Morti Productions. While we wait, the album's opening track, "Silence", has now been made available for listening, check it out:

The label commented:

The band's raw Black/Thrash sound of yesteryear has given way to a darker, more complete path within Black Metal: blending the primitive, lo-fi mysticism of the first wave, the unearthly melodic conviction of the second wave and the dissonant arpeggiation of modern innovators in a firestorm of rousing, hair-whipping songcraft.

Featuring three quarters of arcane Death Metal band ANARKHON, there is clear cross-pollination, with both acts having recently headed to murkier, more esoteric climes. The primary link is the warped riffing and skewed melodies of Sodomic – guitarist, main songwriter and frontman for both bands - whose masterfully evocative vocal incantations here deconstruct how the Abrahamic religions have negatively shaped human behaviour over the centuries.

A lightless, compulsive treat of unexpectedly momentous proportions.

"Shadows Devouring Light" will mark the band's seventh full-length album, and features a total of 10 tracks:

  1. Forsaken by the Father
  2. Silence
  3. The Serpent's Earthly Throne
  4. Shadows Devouring Light
  5. Primordial Impurity
  6. Mother of Abominations
  7. Wings of Perdition
  8. Eve's Holy Vulva
  9. Adversary of Creation
  10. Summoning the Abjection

The cover art was designed by Rodrigo Pereira Salvatierra of Absolute Desert Art, whose work you might recognize from recent releases by the likes of United States Lurker of Chalice, Chile Unaussprechlichen Kulten or Germany Mortuus Infradaemoni, to name a few:
