A music video has been made for the song "Amor Fati", the first glimpse of the band's upcoming album, "Marter", which is due to be released on the 30th of September.
German Pagan Black Metal act Firtan are putting the finishing touches on what will be their third full-length album, titled "Marter", and due for release on the 30th of September via Art of Propaganda Records. While we wait, the band has just unveiled the album's first single, "Amor Fati", check out the music video below:
The band commented:
Throughout the last two years we went through many ordeals to create new music that we feel confident about. Here is the first song from our upcoming Album "Marter", which hopefully emphasizes what we tried to achieve - to create songs that transcend the boundaries of the genres people subscribe us to, musically and lyrically. This really is an exhibition of what we feel as artists. If "Amor Fati" speaks to you, be sure of our undying gratitude.
"Marter" will be the band's first release of any kind since 2018's "Okeanos", and features the following tracklist:
- Faðir
- Amor Fati
- Labsal
- Lethe
- Parhelia
- Odem
- Menetekel
- Peraht
- Medomai
The cover art is from an 1893 painting by Polish artist Władysław Podkowiński, titled "Frenzy of Exultations" (Szał Uniesień):
The album is available digitally via the AOP Bandcamp, and in digipack CD and double vinyl LP formats via the AOP store:
