The song is an excerpt taken from the band's upcoming studio album, "Av Stoft", which drops on the 28th of October.

Nordvis have just put out an excerpt from the song "Kom Eld, Kom Regn", which marks the first single from the upcoming second album by Swedish Black Metal duo Sweden Jordfäst, titled "Av Stoft", which will be released on October 28th:

"Av stoft" was recorded at Studio Wheelmust, and features a guest vocalist appearance by Joakim Svensson of labelmates Sweden Skogen.

Nordvis commented on the new album:

"Av stoft" tells sobering tales of human struggles against societal norms and religious oppression; the fight for the right to determine one’s own fate. As tends to be the case in real life, these stories are stripped entirely of both heroes and happy endings. The harsh truths of the natural world are imbued in not only the album’s concept but also its musical core – the gloomy layers interspersed with searing melodies reflect a reality as unforgiving as the northern winter.

Jordfäst themselves also discussed the themes presented in the new single:

"Kom Eld, Kom Regn" is driven by melancholic melodies as it fluctuates between gloomy passages and majestic crescendos. The lyrics depict a man who has become fed up with the vapidness and dishonesty of mundane life. Disillusioned, under an aurora-covered sky he sets sail towards the endless sea – never to return. As the song progresses, the narrative shifts to the struggles of his son. Left behind to navigate life without paternal guidance, whose father did not even leave him a body to bury, this early betrayal has driven him into a life of constant flight and frustration.

The new album will feature just two tracks in total:

  1. Abortologen
  2. Kom Eld, Kom Regn

"Av Stoft" will be available in digipack CD and a couple of vinyl LP formats, together with a special t-shirt design appropriate for the release:
