The album will mark the project's fifth studio album, and is scheduled for release on the 10th of March.
On the 10th of March, Canadian Black Metal / Folk act Burden of Ymir will be releasing "Heorot", the project's fifth studio album. While we wait, the entire album premiered yesterday on the BMP channel, check it out:
The album will be released through Italian label Flowing Downward, who commented briefly on the release:
Burden of Ymir brings his unique blackened folk metal to Flowing Downward, with his fifth full-length album "Heorot".
With "Heorot", mastermind and sole member Joe Caswell (also active as olim, Drowstorm and member of Vintertodt) takes a departure from the Norse mythology to indulge in the retelling of another timeless classic, the epic tale of Beowulf!
Music for great deeds, great halls, great feasts!
The album features cover art by Peruvian artist Christopher Albert Castillo Diaz, also known as Artem Astaroth:
