Norwegian Black Metal act Ragnarok are due to release their seventh full length album on the 30th of October. The new album, titled "Malediction", will be a follow-up to their impressive 2010 album, "Collectors of the King".

Ukrainian Black Metal Khors band have just released their fifth full length album, titled "Wisdom of Centuries", through British record label Candlelight Records. The album was recorded in several stages at four different studios across Ukraine. This will be a follow-up to 2010's "Return to Abandoned".

British Pagan Black Metal band Winterfylleth have just released their latest album, titled "The Threnody of Triumph", through British record label Candlelight Records. This marks their third full length studio recording after first releasing "The Ghost of Heritage" in 2008, followed by "The Mercian Sphere" in 2010, with both albums receiving universally positive feedback from the community.

We are proud to announce that we have reached a grand total of 2,000 Black Metal albums added to our database, a goal we set out to achieve before the end of the year after adding our 1,000th album only 10 weeks ago.

Having reached our target almost four months ahead of schedule by adding an average of 100 albums a week, and satisfied that 2,000 albums offers just enough variety to keep everyone entertained, from now on we will be slowing down the addition rate while we concentrate on other aspects of the site.

Czech Black Metal veterans Master's Hammer have recorded a cover of a song by Czech folk singer Jaroslav Hutka.
