Sodom reveal details for upcoming "Bombenhagel" EP

Teutonic thrash pioneers Sodom have revealed some details for their upcoming EP, which will be titled "Bombenhagel" (trans. "Hail of Bombs"), and is scheduled to be released on the 20th of August through SPV/Steamhammer.

The new EP will feature three new tracks, clocking in at just over 14 minutes in total:

New Lord of Pagathorn album streaming in full

Finnish black metal band Lord of Pagathorn are scheduled to release their new full-length album today, which is titled "Age of Curse". To coincide with the release, the album is being streamed in its entirety through the Black Metal Promotion YouTube channel later today:

Lord of Pagathorn was formed as far back as 1992, however only a couple of demos were released before the band went on a 15 year hiatus in 1995. New Crescent song streaming online

Egyptian blackened death metal band Crescent are scheduled to release their next full-length, titled "Carving the Fires of Akhet", on the 25th of June. Leading up to the release, the band has now made the closing track from the album, "As Nu Enshrines Death", available for streaming through the Black Metal Promotion YouTube channel:

Ancient Wisdom streaming new album in full

One-man black metal project Ancient Wisdom is scheduled to release a new album, titled "A Celebration in Honor of Death", on the 4th of June. While we wait, the album is currently being streamed on YouTube in its entirety through the increasingly popular Black Metal Promotion channel:

Ancient Wisdom was formed as far back as 1992 by Marcus E. Norma, of Naglfar fame, and "A Celebration in Honor of Death" will mark the project's first release in over 17 years, and fifth full-length overall.

Desaster premiere another song from their upcoming album, "Churches without Saints"

German black metal thrashers Desaster have recently released a lyric video for one of the tracks off their upcoming album. The new song is titled "Endless Awakening", and you can check it out below through the official Metal Blade Records YouTube channel:

Elderwind scheduled to release "Fires" on the 31st of May

Russian atmospheric Black Metal project Elderwind have recently revealed on their Facebook page that their upcoming full length album, titled "Fires", is due to be released through their bandcamp profile on the 31st of May, and will feature the following tracklist:

New Graveland full-length, "Hour of Ragnarok", to be released on the 9th of August

Polish legends Graveland have recently updated more details for their new full-length album and announced the release date. it's scheduled to be released on the 9th of August through The Oath Records, Inferna Profundus Records, Forever Plagued Records and White Wolf Productions.

According to the Official Graveland Homepage, the songs for the album were created over the last three years. Also, they mention that the reason for this delay is that "It took a long time to compose and record the symphonic back tracks that makes up the epic background in music".

New Mayhem EP, "Atavistic Black Disorder / Kommando", to be released on the 9th of July

Norwegian pioneers Mayhem have just announced that they are scheduled to release a new EP on the 9th of July through Century Media Records.

The new release will be split into two halves, with the first half featuring three songs originally from the "Daemon" recording sessions, and the second half featuring four covers of some punk classics.

We're releasing this essentially as a split EP, to highlight the duality of the featured material, and with dual cover artwork to accommodate, courtesy of Daniele Valeriani.

Darkthrone reveal details for upcoming album, titled "Eternal Hails......"

Norwegian veterans Darkthrone have recently revealed the details for their upcoming studio album, which will be titled "Eternal Hails......", and is scheduled for release on the 25th of June through Peaceville Records.

The album's artwork is originally from a painting by British artist David A. Hardy titled "Pluto and Charon", and dates back to 1972:

So, a lot of changes just went live on the site, and while they are too numerous to list in their entirety, I will touch briefly on the most important ones:

You can now register an account on the site. Many of the site's features will require you to be logged in, including posting comments. Gone are the days of anonymous shitposting. User accounts come with all the basic functionality you would expect from your average website/forum, although a lot of it is "old school" in nature. A valid e-mail address is required for activating your account.
