THIS is how you play metal, it's not about heaviness or speed or blastbeats or growling as much as possible, it's about MOTHERFUCKING METAL TO THE BONE

Why would "up and coming black metal bands find great music demotivating". It would have the opposite effect to anyone who is going to have any success as a musician as there will always be someone better than yourself and all good musicians admit this thats how they get better at what they do by working on their weaknesses. Thats how bands get started, they hear stuff they like so much it motivates them to pick up an instrument and form their own bands. Same with most things in life really.

Quorthon will always be the black metal king, not this guy...but cool album neverheless

If all of Black Metal went away and all that was left was Taake I would be perfectly happy!

One of his best. Totally recommended.

decent taake keeping the fire burning

Honestly i've listened to this album a few times and wasn't really impressed. Not quite sure why. Still a competent album but i'd never call it a favorite of mine.

Very powerfull album, especcialy the first 4 songs

In my eyes pretty average
But then again
IF THINE EYE OFFENDS THEE PLUCK IT OUT !

A fantastic album and definitely as good as anything Taake have released. Is it the second best black metal album ever released? That's a big call. It fully deserves five stars and a high rating though.

Demonic pterodactyl vocals... Those vocals are fucked up and without a doubt
Very Black Metal!

My 2nd favorite black metal record of all time. From start to finish it evokes so many emotions in me. Not many albums can do that. His first 3 albums are equally great.

I like this band, not because I think they are anything special.
More so because I love the style of music they play.
