Lurking in the Abysmal Darkness

The album cover shows it all! This album is COLD and heavy as only a cold Norwegian winter can be! It has an unique sound I haven't really heard in many other albums (beside their latest album which is familiar). It is almost like it is covered in a dark evil mist. I love how well the heavy guitars and the synths work together. Not many bands manage to pull this off! The music is some kind of doom metal with heavy inspiration from black metal bands like Kampfar with it's symphonic way to compose (but not play) the tunes. Buy it!

I may have played this to death during 2018 but I still listen to it every now and then. I hope I manage to see them live this year! Favorite tune from the album is Empyrian succubus ritual. This also shows best what I ment about the guitar and synth work!
